UV printing reproduces photographic artwork, fine gradients and repeat patterns at sizes hand painting cannot reach economically. Prints go straight onto a prepared wall, or onto panels for factory-controlled quality and faster site installation.

Commissioned work in uv print & art wallpaper normally runs from 11 to 347 m², with 1–3 working days in production from approved drawings. The reference range for this technique is CNY 150–600 per m², quoted itemised. It sits within our Wall Painting & Murals capability, alongside 12 related techniques, and the 4-point deliverable below is what a commission includes as standard.

When uv print & art wallpaper is the right answer - and when it is not

UV printing reproduces photographic artwork, fine gradients and repeat patterns at sizes hand painting cannot reach economically, and it does it fast. It is the right choice above roughly twenty to thirty square metres of detailed work, and for anything that must repeat exactly across panels. It is the wrong choice where the client values visible brushwork, or where the surface cannot be made flat and clean enough for a print head to pass over evenly.

How the work is actually carried out

The artwork is prepared at final size and the colour is proofed against the actual substrate, not just on screen, because ink on a matt wall reads differently from ink on white paper. On wall, the surface is filled and primed to a uniform absorption so the print does not mottle. On panels, printing happens in the workshop under controlled conditions and the panels are installed afterwards, which gives better quality and a faster site programme. Print files are archived so a damaged section can be re-printed in the same colour later.

What we deliver

  • Design, mock-ups and on-site colour sampling before full production
  • Base repair, primer and protective topcoat included as separate line items
  • Interior and exterior walls, ceilings, hoardings and feature panels
  • Touch-up kit plus documented colour codes on handover

Faults we see most often in uv print & art wallpaper

Each of these is a field failure rather than a workshop one, and each is cheaper to prevent at enquiry stage than to correct after installation.

  • Printing onto a wall that is still curing or slightly damp, which traps moisture under the ink film and shows as blotching within weeks.
  • Approving colour from a screen proof - an uncalibrated monitor shifts colour, and the wall is unforgiving.
  • Printing a long wall in one pass without planning the panel joins, so the seams land in the most visible part of the composition.

What to settle before an overseas project starts

Final viewed sizeSend the wall dimensions and the artwork, and tell us the intended viewing distance. Resolution that looks sharp at three metres can look soft at one.
Wall or panelA panel system costs more up front but removes site time, cures the print in controlled conditions, and makes future replacement straightforward.
File ownershipConfirm you will supply the final print-ready file, or ask us to produce it. We archive working files so later repairs match.

Common questions

Can a printed wall be repaired after damage?
Yes. We archive the print file, so a damaged section can be re-printed in the same colour and finish and patched in - one reason we keep every job file.
Is printing cheaper than hand painting?
Usually above roughly 20-30 m2 of detailed artwork. Below that, hand painting often wins because there is no file preparation or panel fabrication to pay for.
Can you paint over an existing painted wall?
Yes, provided the existing coat adheres well. Loose or chalky paint is sanded and sealed first; that preparation step appears as its own line in the quote.
