Precasting moves the work into controlled conditions: consistent mix, consistent cure and a cleaner site. Panels are cast from rubber or GRC moulds, finished in the workshop and then fixed on a setting-out grid.
Commissioned work in precast cement relief panels normally runs from 6 to 30 m², with 3–8 working days in production from approved drawings. The reference range for this technique is CNY 600–1800 per m², quoted itemised. It sits within our Cement Relief & GRC capability, alongside 7 related techniques, and the 4-point deliverable below is what a commission includes as standard.
When precast cement relief panels is the right answer - and when it is not
Precast relief components are chosen when the same element repeats, when site time is expensive, or when the site cannot tolerate wet trades. Casting in a controlled workshop gives consistent colour, consistent curing and a flat back face for reliable fixing. It is the right answer for facades, repetitive panels and interiors with a tight programme. It is the wrong answer for a one-off organic form, where the mould cost dominates.
How the work is actually carried out
Moulds are produced from the approved pattern, in a material chosen for the required number of casts and the depth of undercut. The mix is batched to a recorded recipe so colour and strength stay consistent across the whole run, and every unit is cured under cover rather than in the open. Each piece is marked with its position on a layout drawing, which makes site assembly straightforward and replacement possible years later. Fixing uses brackets designed for the unit's weight and the wall's build-up, not generic anchors.

Reference price bands for Precast cement relief panels
Indicative only, based on the scope normally quoted for precast cement relief panels. A firm price follows a site survey and an itemised quotation split into material, labour, finishing, packing and freight.
| Scope | Typical area | Reference total | Unit rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small area | 6–15 m² | CNY 3,600 – CNY 27,000 | approx. CNY 1800/m² |

Build tiers for precast cement relief panels
Precast cement relief panels is not one product at one size: the table below is the same scope ladder we quote on, so you can see where your project sits before asking for a price.
| Build tier | Typical area | Production days | What changes at this tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 6–30 m² | 3–8 | Up to 30 m², one substrate and one access setup, 3–8 days in the workshop. |
| Tier 2 | 6–30 m² | 3–8 | 6–30 m² across two or more faces, 3–8 days, substrate build-up agreed per location. |
| Tier 3 | 6–30 m² | 3–8 | 6–30 m² across two or more faces, 3–8 days, substrate build-up agreed per location. |
| Tier 4 | 6–30 m² | 3–8 | 6–30 m² across two or more faces, 3–8 days, substrate build-up agreed per location. |
| Tier 5 | 6–30 m² | 3–8 | 6–30 m² across two or more faces, 3–8 days, substrate build-up agreed per location. |
| Tier 6 | 6–30 m² | 3–8 | 6 m² and above, multiple substrate types and phased access, 3–8 days with a join and numbering plan. |
What we deliver
- Site-sculpted work and precast panels, chosen per project
- Rebar, mesh fixing and multi-layer build-up for durability
- Stone-look, bronze-effect and rust-effect finishes
- Water-repellent sealer as standard on exterior work
Faults we see most often in precast cement relief panels
Each of these is a field failure rather than a workshop one, and each is cheaper to prevent at enquiry stage than to correct after installation.
- Casting from an unapproved pattern, so the mould is made and then the design changes.
- Curing units in the open, which produces colour variation across a run that shows badly on a facade.
- Omitting piece marking, which turns site assembly into a puzzle and makes later replacement guesswork.
What to settle before an overseas project starts
| Repetition and quantity | Mould cost is amortised across the run. Tell us the quantity of each unit so we can advise candidly on whether casting pays. |
|---|---|
| Fixing substrate | Confirm the wall build-up and the load it can carry. Precast units are heavy and the fixing design follows from the substrate. |
| Colour and finish target | Send a sample or a reference photograph. We produce a physical sample unit for approval before the full run. |
